Little Boys

I loved this shoot - I went to their home and just fell in LOVE with the back side of this barn!!  I ran around like crazy trying to keep the two little boys interested in what we were doing - but it was a good time anyway.  Little boys just want to play in dirt and run and do other things... *grin*

We are Sisters

I've known these girls for a long time and have seen them grow over the years - it is so sweet to see the sister-love between them all.  Of course, it makes me feel old to see the oldest two so grown-up!  But they sure have grown into some beautiful young ladies.

Children in Fall

A few photos of some children on an awesome fall day.  The colors were sooo pretty and light was just perfect this day.  We hung out in the field below their house and found some really nice spots for some photos!

A Little Island Adventure

I had a fun little adventure back during the summer with this sweet little family.  We hung out in their backyard (which just happens to back up to a lake) - and then took a little ride on a john boat to this dreamy little island.  Such a good time... here are a few of the super sweet images from the day.

This Smile Stands for Sweetness

Look at the smile on this little beauty!  Everything about it says 'sweet, sweet, sweet'!  It was so fun hanging out with this little girl (a family friend that I just don't get to see enough).  My kids got to hang out with us on this shoot (which just made their day!).  Thanks to my little assistants for helping me get some of the sweetest smiles ever!

Smiles, Ice Cream & Little Piggies

Parents always worry about how their kids will behave during a photo session - ESPECIALLY when the session involves more than one kid.  I can relate to this, as I have 3 small children of my own.  But you know how it goes -- they ALWAYS act better for someone else than they do their parents.

This holds true for a photo session, too.  The biggest secret to getting your kids to act good during a session - mom & dad have to BE QUIET!!   Of course, it doesn't hurt to bring along some ice cream ... *grin*.

Check out some awesome smiles from these 3 kids - who were exceptionally well behaved - and just for fun, I threw in a a shot of some ice-cream-goofin'-off and some cute little piggies.

Playing with baby dolls

Oh, I so love newborn shoots.  I think it is because I feel like I'm playing with baby dolls... or maybe because we capture some of the cutest little images of a time in this person's life that goes by sooooo fast.  At any rate, here are some more lovely newborn pictures.  Sweet little baby girl and her 2 big brothers (can't ya tell they love her to pieces???!?!?).  Fun times.

Hot Summer Days

I had a really fun photo shoot with this family last week - it was blazing hot - but we still managed to have lots of fun.
Start with two adorable kids, a super sweet dog, gorgeous mom and dad - add in a few dandelions, running around and playing with rocks - and we got some super cute images!  I think when they look back at these pictures in the future, this family will be reminded of playing outside on hot summer days.

Oh Happy Day!

Here are some pictures of my sister's family.  Lots of cuties here ;)  Although sometimes it is a lot more difficult shooting family members.  Usually nobody is on their best behavior (including adults... *grin*) - I walked away not sure we got any smiles - but then felt myself singing 'Oh Happy Day' - when I started looking through them.
