A Wedding ~ The First Look

The "First Look".  I was really unsure about the groom seeing the bride before the wedding - this is a new very popular trend.  I'm pretty traditional when it comes to things like that - and I knew it would be great for me (the photographer) to get as many pictures finished before the ceremony as possible - but I wasn't sure how it would be for the couple.
Let me tell you - it was FANTASTIC.  I had no idea how exciting it was going to be.  I was probably almost as excited as they were.
The look on the groom's face was priceless.  The emotion was through the roof.  AND - the best part - they actually got to talk to each other and share in a little private moment (I was off to the side back behind them - but I could hear him tell her over and over how beautiful she was - and he just couldn't quit grinning from ear to ear -- still gives me chills thinking about it).
Traditionally, the groom only sees the bride as she is walking down the aisle.  And the first moment the two get to have alone -- is a very long time after he first sees her.  The couple misses out on a very special moment.
I wish I would have done this at my wedding - I had no idea how incredible this could be!
If you are getting married and considering the First Look - I HIGHLY recommend it.  Of course it is great from a time management perspective - BUT - above and beyond that - it gives you a chance to enjoy a truly once in a lifetime moment to it's fullest!
